Vonda L. Vawter is a seasoned financial executive with over 20 years of experience in commercial real estate development, construction, MEP services, and manufacturing. As a licensed Certified Public Accountant, she brings deep expertise in GAAP compliance, financial reporting, and multi-entity operations. Vonda has led accounting teams through complex audits, tax filings across 30+ states, and strategic budgeting initiatives.
 

Currently serving as Controller at Safety Management Group, she oversees financial statement preparation, asset management, and continuous process improvement across departments. She is also an IRS-certified tax preparer and proficient in a wide range of financial systems.  Her previous leadership roles at DEEM, French Property Management, and Corporate Systems Engineering reflect her ability to drive operational efficiency, manage risk, and support executive decision-making.

 

Vonda holds a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Indiana Wesleyan University and is actively engaged in community leadership, including her role as Assistant Treasurer at Bethel Baptist Church. Her career is defined by precision, integrity, and a commitment to financial excellence.
