Jordan Hollingsworth, CSP, CHST, CUSP, STSC
Jordan Hollingsworth serves as Director of Safety Operations at Safety Management Group, where he leads one of the company’s largest client partnerships, managing a team of more than 60 safety professionals supporting American Electric Power (AEP) across the country. With nearly two decades of safety leadership experience, most of it in utility and contractor safety, Jordan is recognized as a change agent in transforming safety cultures and operational outcomes across the industry.
Jordan began his SMG journey in 2008, supporting Pepper Construction on the Riley Children’s Hospital project within SMG’s IU Health group. From there, he advanced through several roles across construction and utility sectors, including Regional Safety Advisor, Lead Safety Advisor, Field Operations Manager, and ultimately Director. Throughout his tenure, Jordan has been instrumental in scaling SMG’s presence and influence across the utility industry, applying innovative processes and cultural transformation strategies that have since been adopted by utilities nationwide.
Jordan holds a Master’s of Science in Occupational Safety and Health from Indiana State University and has earned the CSP, CHST, CUSP, and STSC certifications. He most recently completed the Executive Program through Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business. He is also a certified OSHA 10- and 30-hour instructor for the construction industry.
A committed community leader, Jordan is actively engaged in several professional associations, including the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP), the Coalition for Construction Safety (CCS), the Utility Safety & Ops Leadership Network (USOLN), Junior Achievement (JA), and Kids’ Chance. He is a professional member of ASSP’s Central Indiana Chapter, where he has served as Vice President, Student Section Liaison, Chapter Delegate, and Golf Outing Chair. He founded the Future Safety Leaders Scholarship Golf Outing, which has funded more than 25 scholarships for students pursuing careers in safety, and was named ASSP’s 2020 Safety Professional of the Year.
Jordan has authored numerous articles on construction safety and best practices, and has been recognized with several honors including the Indy’s Best and Brightest list (2018 and 2021) and the BCSP Award of Excellence in 2021.
