Andy Arrington leads Safety Management Group’s environmental services with a clear, pragmatic, and client-first approach. Drawing on nearly two decades of environmental science experience, he focuses on building trust through results, delivering solutions that protect natural resources, support client compliance, and advance sustainable outcomes. 

Andy joined SMG in 2014 as an Environmental Advisor after years of work in wetland and coastal ecosystems along the Gulf of Mexico. In the years since, he has managed projects across multiple states, from stormwater compliance and habitat restoration to protecting sensitive wetlands and drainage systems. He is known for translating complex regulations into straightforward, actionable guidance for clients and for prioritizing what matters most in each project. 

As Environmental Manager, Andy guides a growing team in delivering science-based, modern environmental solutions. He has been instrumental in building SMG’s permit tracking and compliance systems, helping clients stay ahead of evolving requirements with confidence and clarity. Andy also plays a central role in shaping SMG’s environmental service strategy, ensuring offerings are practical, efficient, and aligned with client needs. 

Colleagues and clients value his direct communication style and his belief that every interaction should move a project forward. Whether he is in the field or in the boardroom, Andy is committed to making decisions, solving problems, and creating the conditions for both his team and his clients to succeed. 

Andy holds a Master of Science in Hydrology and Water Security from the University of Oklahoma, advanced graduate study in Fisheries Science from Mississippi State University, and a Bachelor of Science in Wildlife and Fisheries Science from Mississippi State University.
