LEADERSHIP TEAM

Jon Ludrick, MBA, CSP, CHST

General Manager, DFW/SW Operations

With a safety background spanning nearly two decades, Jon Ludrick serves as General Manager for Safety Management Group’s Dallas–Fort Worth and Greater Southwest operations. Since joining SMG in 2020, Jon has made a measurable impact in roles that showcase his operational versatility and leadership acumen.

Jon began his SMG journey as a Field Safety Advisor, supporting large-scale utility projects across northeast Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas. Those early responsibilities in contractor safety management for electrical transmission and distribution taught him the value of proactive risk mitigation and real-time decision-making. He quickly advanced to team lead on the distribution side of utility work, then to Manager within SMG’s Insights business unit, where he supported multiple clients through audits, inspections, training, and program development.

He later transitioned into a service quality and client success role, focusing on operational excellence and relationship building through direct engagement with advisor teams and key clients. This emphasis on measurable value and stronger partnerships ultimately led to his current position as General Manager, where he oversees strategy, team performance, and client delivery across a growing regional footprint.

A key milestone in Jon’s leadership was the launch of SMG’s Texas branch in McKinney, a strategic investment in building stronger, local partnerships. Under his direction, the new office serves as a hub for SMG’s full suite of offerings—ProSolutions, Insights, Environmental Services, and the VERO platform—giving Texas clients direct access to embedded leadership, faster response times, and solutions tailored to the region’s unique operational demands.

Jon’s passion for safety began during his college years, leading him to earn a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Safety and Health from Southeastern Oklahoma State University and later an MBA with a focus in Environmental Health and Safety Management from Northeastern State University.

What distinguishes Jon is not only his technical expertise but his belief that safety is most effective when aligned with business objectives. He works to integrate safety into the core of operations, fostering a culture of trust, accountability, and mentorship. His ability to connect safety performance with business outcomes makes him a strategic leader and a driving force behind SMG’s commitment to clients in Texas and across the Southwest.
