Ergonomics (or human factors) an applied science concerned with designing and arranging things people use so that the people and things interact most efficiently and safely —called also biotechnology human engineering human factors. It is the applied science of equipment design intended to maximize productivity by reducing operator fatigue and discomfort. The field is also called biotechnology, human engineering, and human factors engineering.
